Bill Prewitt

    Services will be conducted at the Cowboy Church of Harrison County in Hallsville, Texas for Bill Prewitt, 62, of Longview, Texas at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017.  Officiating will be Pastor Joe C. Hall.  Bill went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2017, in Longview.      He was born September 24, 1954, in Longview and lived there all his life.
    He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandy Prewitt; one son, Scott Winkler; one daughter, Lisa Baily; three grandchildren, Craig Winkler, Amberleigh Winkler, and Rebecca Baily; one sister, Cathy Mixon; one brother, James Prewitt; numerous nieces and nephews; two cousins, Maybell Slone and Dolly Carlile; and numerous other cousins; friends, Pete and Lavonna Tucker; and a host of other friends; his dog and friend, Boo.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Sabird and Willie Prewitt; two brothers, Buster Prewitt and Jerry Prewitt; three sisters, Fay Covin, Mae Jones and Willie Mae Welty; one cousin Jeanette Fox; and friend, Jason Motley.
    Bill was self employed, a master roofer and carpenter.  His hobbies were fishing and wood working on a scroll saw.  Bill greatly loved his Pastor Joe and his church family.
