Nellie Ruth (Aills) Neel

Nellie Ruth (Aills) Neel of White Oak, Texas died at the Hospice of East Texas Hospital in Tyler, Texas on August 20, 2017, after a long term illness.

Nellie (Nell) Neel was born on June 10, 1940, in Gilmer, Texas, the oldest daughter of the late Samuel Wood Aills and the late Ethel Mabel (McCoy) Aills.

She worked for the Walmart Super center in Longview, Texas for approximately seven years and had been retired for some time.

Nellie was preceded in death by her oldest son, Ivan Lee Tabor of Longview, Texas and her youngest brother, Travis Wayne Aills of Irving, Texas.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Janet Loveland and her husband, Michael Loveland of Mississippi; and her son, David Wayne Tabor of Longview, Texas; brother, Kenith Ray Aills and his wife, Shirley of Tyler, Texas; sisters, Margaret Louise Hilton and her husband, Joe of East Mountain, Texas; and Linda Inez Owens of Arlington Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie Watson and her husband, Michael of Corvallis, Oregon, and Phillip Wayne Pounders of Como, Mississippi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview.

Her final resting place will be with her son, Ivan, at the Mississippi River in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi.
