William John Wilmot

     William John Wilmot, Jr., 65 of Longview, Texas, passed away on Sunday April 2, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 11, 1951 in Aldan, Pennsylvania, to the late William John, Sr. and Myrtle (Ottey) Wilmot.
     John is survived by his daughters, Stacey Schriver and husband, Chris, of Bryan, Texas and Nicole Wilmot of Longview, Texas; sisters, Nancy Makowski of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Patricia Alexander of Aldan, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Trevor and Colton Schriver, and granddaughters, Tonya Motley and Dani Wilmot. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Allatt.
     John served in the Navy during the Vietnam War prior to his honorable discharge. He was an HVAC  specialist for IBM until his retirement. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and being in the mountains camping.  

Cremation services are by East Texas Funeral Home, and services will be held at a later date.
