Billy League

Billy League, Loving husband and father, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 surrounded by his family. Billy was born July 27, 1943 in Paris, Texas to Joseph Weldon & Kathlyn Carter League. On October 17, 1974, he married Alice Pepper. They raised two children William J (Bud) and Lacy Pepper League. Billy had a quick wit, a twinkle in his eye and a playful spirit. He was an amazing man who touched many lives. He served in the Navy on a minesweeper in the Brown Waters of Vietnam. He worked for AMOCO Production (BP) for 30 years, until his retirement. Billy was preceded in death by his mother and father and brother Mike. He is survived by his wife, Alice, their children and their spouses. William J (Bud) and Dr. James League - Pascual, Lacy and Alex Williams, and their three grandchildren, Eden, Ezra and Parker, brother Bobby and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Life will be held at the Cherokee Club, NP2 Lake Cherokee. Longview, Tx on Saturday, June 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
