Dakota Reese Vazquez

Dakota Reese Vazquez, 20, of Longview, died August 16, 2018. He was born to Erika Sanchez on November 22, 1997 in Longview, Texas. He lived there with his grandmother, Peggy Calhoun, and attended Pine Tree schools. He was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed all types of music with great passion. He enjoyed being a part of various worship groups in Austin as well as in Longview. Dakota is survived by his mother, Erika Sanchez and her husband Jeynier; grandmother, Peggy Calhoun; three aunts, Judy Vazquez, Christina Vazquez, and Katherine Villagomez; and by his partner whom he loved very much, Hannah Marsh. He also has one half brother and three half sisters. A viewing will be held from 2-4pm on Tuesday, August 21, at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview. A memorial service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, August 25 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Longview. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family.
