JC Scott, Jr.

A celebration of life for JC Scott to be held at Oakland Heights Baptist Church on October 21, 2017 at 11AM.  JC Scott, Jr. age 77, of Longview was called home by his Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Mr. Scott was born February 25, 1940 in Snyder, Texas. JC attended Rotan Elementary School and graduated from Snyder High School in 1958. Mr. Scott received Certification of Training from the National Guard in 1995, worked for J.C. Penney, Suburban Propane, Petrolane, Neiman Marcus, and owned and operated Discount Mattress. 

JC was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. He and his son Andy enjoyed tennis and were members of Longview Tennis Association Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Edna Elizabeth Scott, one sister, Betty Stewart, and his son, Andrew "Andy" B. Scott.   JC is survived by his brother, Lloyd Scott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and brother-in-law, Jerry Stewart of Gresham, Texas; nieces, Penny Ward of Kingwood, Texas, Robin Hunt of Tyler, Texas, Connie Rogers of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Denise Dykes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Cindy Orona of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Yvette Kraake, of West Hills, California; and two granddaughters, Claudia Kraake, and Olivia Kraake, both of West Hills, California
