Melissa Renae (Strickland) Rodriguez

Melissa Renae Rodriguez 
April 2 1969 - December 7 1969 

Loved and admired daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. Melissa Renae Strickland was born in Shreveport, La. to Terry Sims Paredes and Thomas Wayne Strickland. 

She is survived by her mother, her three children, Steven Rodriguez and daughter in law, both of Tyler Tx. Shyanna Rodriguez of Kilgore Tx. and Seth Rodriguez of Dallas, her two sisters Melinda Strickland and Ava Paredes, both of Longview Tx, two brothers Tony Paredes of Jefferson Tx, and SaDarrion Paredes of Tyler Tx. 

She was Meme to seven beautiful grandchildren, Stavian, Carter, Carli, Laela, Serenity, Seth Jr and Elise, and many nieces and nephews. and her dogs Fancy, Bebe, Anna, Fugi, Tater-tot, Sassy and Prince.                

Melissa was bold, loud, real and extra point blank, if she loved you she loved you hard and as hard to love as she could be. Those who loved her will never forget her. She will be missed! Heaven has it cut out for them, but the party has arrived.   

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at East Texas Funeral Home located at 6522 McCann Road, Longview, Texas. Immediately following service there will be a celebration of life at the home of Melinda Strickland 345 Hidden Forest, Longview 75605
