Shirlee Mae Sloan was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 27, 2017, after a brief illness. She was born December 10, 1944, in Yuma, Arizona to Edbert Luther and Edna Mae Kelsey.
She spent most of her childhood at the Hendricks Home for Children in Abilene, Texas due to the untimely death of her parents. She married John Collum in October of 1959. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Nettie Pearl and Ellen; three brothers, John, Sam, and Kenny Kelsey; son, John Micheal Collum; two very special people, Tony and Marie Collum and her second husband, Murrell Sloan.
She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Morris of Diana and Joanna Craver and her fiance, William Penney of Kilgore; five grandchildren, Terry Morris and his wife, Kaitlin Windham of Diana, Holly Morris of Diana, Hether Craver of Longview, Joshua Craver of Ore City and Zachary Craver of Kilgore; three great grandchildren, Claire and Dennis Morris of Diana and Harlan Edwards and his mother, Shiloh, of White Oak; her best friend, Rene Cruce of Bossier City, Louisiana; a special person she considered to be her son, Glen Craver; a special person she considered to be a grandson, Chris Manley and a very special furry friend, Matilda. She also had many nieces, nephews and friends she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by all.
There will be a memorial gathering at Joanna Craver's home on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
