Marvin Gaile ,73, of Longview died peacefully in hospice care on April 23, 2018 from complications related to scleroderma disease.
Marvin was born October 4, 1944 in Arlington, Virginia to Uel Marvin Gaile Sr. and Miriam Harley Gaile. He attended high school in Vienna, Virginia and Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 through 1967, and in 1969 he moved to Texas. Marvin retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2008.
He is survived by his devoted companion Linda Eldridge, his adoring fox terrier Annie, son Byron Foster Gaile and wife Genea of Austin, Texas, daughter Bianca Cummings and husband Carlton of Longview, Texas, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Edward Gaile and wife Barbara, two sisters, Ginger Waddell and husband Bobby, Debi Javins and husband Randy Javins, and several nieces and nephews.
No formal services are scheduled at this time.
