Obituary

Memorial services for Arthur Manuel Jones III (Pops) will be held Thursday August 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at East Mountain Baptist Church Gym.

Arthur (Pops) was born March 30, 1935, and passed away August 15, 2023 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his children’s mother Anne Marie Jones, parents Arthur II and Marguerite Jones, brother David Jones, sister Barbara Langston, sons Arthur IV (Artie) and Patrick Wayne, grandson Braeden Lane.

Pops was aa retired carpenter and an Army Veteran. He was passionate about hunting, fishing and watching ball games on tv and always had a story to tell anyone that would listen.

Pops is survived by his wife Johnnie, children (spouses) Larry (Susie), Tony, Jonn, Sammy (Carrie), Cindy (Michael), grandchildren Jacob (Hannah), William and Weston along with other step grandchildren and great grandchildren and special friends that he also considered family.
