Barbara Dean Evans, 68, of Tatum, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Texarkana, AR on June 21, 1951, the daughter of the late Harold and Myrtis Fuller. She was the third child in a loving family of six children. She has four brothers and one sister all of whom survive her.
Barbara spent most of her adult life in the Longview, Texas area. She attended Longview High School and later graduated from the nursing program at Kilgore College, although she never pursued a nursing career. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for many years. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Tatum, Texas. She is a blood-bought, born again, child of God.
Barbara had a deep love for her family and her fellow man. She enjoyed being with her loved ones more than anything else. She was known for her kindness and her witty humor. She often shared her love for others through acts of unselfish compassion. Barbara loved children and often gathered them up at family gatherings to entertain them. Truly she impacted many with her love.
She is survived by: Son, Chad Evans of Kilgore. Son, James Boone, his wife Lucy and daughter Natalie of Tatum. Brother, Harold Fuller Jr and wife Sandy of Longview. Brother, Raymond Dale Fuller and wife Suzy of Tyler. Sister, Betty Myrick of Longview, Brother, Johnny Fuller and wife Cherry of Kilgore. Brother, Bobby Don Fuller Sr and wife Patrice of Longview. Nieces, Kim Fuller, Sheryle Sandy, Shannon Miller, Stacy Duncan, Ashley Johnson, Whitney Alvestad. Nephews, Dale Fuller Jr., Chris Fuller, James Fuller, Bobby Fuller Jr., and David Fuller. Numerous beloved cousins and relatives too numerous to list.
Barbara will be honored at a Memorial Service Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 2 PM at Grace Christian Fellowship Church located at 365 Stonewall Tatum, TX 75691. All Flowers or correspondence should be sent C/O James Boone 200 Clements Cir Tatum, TX 75691.
