Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Charles Stanley Griffis, age 91, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Longview, Texas. He was born on July 9, 1930 in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lorenzen-Griffis of Longview, Texas; daughter, Debbie Colburn and husband Ray Colburn of Tavares, Florida; son, David Griffis of Melbourne, Florida; grandson, Aaron Colburn and wife, Serena Colburn of Sanford, Florida; grandson, Austin Colburn and wife, Rachel Colburn of Sanford, Florida; half-brother, John Griffis and wife, Lynn Griffis of Longwood, Florida; 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Patricia Teague of Longview, Texas.

Chuck was a veteran and served in the Navy for 15 years. He enjoyed playing pool with his veteran buddies, fishing, and traveling. He was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
