Charlotte Riddle Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Rev. Charlotte Mims Riddle of Harleton will be held on November 1, 2024, at 2pm at East Texas Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Clickard officiating. Charlotte was born May 1, 1940, in Henderson, TX. She went home to be with Jesus on October 28, 2024, at the age of 84.
Charlotte was the founding Pastor of Harleton Cornerstone Church and served in that capacity for 40 years. She was past Treasurer and Vice President of Harleton Area Ministerial Fellowship, past member of Piney Woods Quilters, past member of MUGGS Prayer group (Emmaus Walk Sisters), retired Pharmacy Technician and former volunteer at Texas Oncology Longview.
Charlotte was a 2-time breast cancer survivor.
In 2002, she traveled to India to dedicate a church building and ministry that Harleton Cornerstone Church, along with friends and family had provided for the people of Andra Padesh, India.
The love of Charlotte's life was her Lord, Jesus Christ, her family, friends, and beloved sheep at Harleton Cornerstone Church. Her greatest desire was to make a difference for Jesus in this world.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marshall Riddle; son, Wesley Vaughn Riddle; daughter, Barbara Beall; parents, Loyd T. Mims and Rena Faye Carlisle Mims; sister, Malissa Williams; brother, Mark Mims. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Tim Lewis; son, John Beall; Grandsons, Michael and Ethan Lewis, Scott Beall; granddaughter, Jessica Searcy; great-grandchildren, Justice, Liberty, Journey and May Beall, Jovie Searcy, and Willow Lewis; brother, Robert Furman Mims; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Carol Mims; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Charlotte can now hear: "Well done good and faithful servant."
