Daniel Wayne Greer, affectionately known as “Danny Wayne”, age 70, passed away on November 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 18, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas to Junius Ray and Patsy (Collins) Greer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen “Ginger” Greer; his children, Cynthia Stephens, Eric Risley and Justin Carnley; his grandchildren, Chasity Stephens, Sierra Carnley, Malachi Risley, Nicholas Risley and Jermiah Carnley; his brothers, Earl Gammons and Jimmy Greer. He is preceded in death by his parents. Danny Wayne graduated from Hallsville High School in 1973, mastering several vocations which enabled him to work locally and travel much of the United States, working his way up to a position as a Superintendent for Brown and Root. Danny Wayne loved life, loved working, Harley Davidson motorcycles, going out to eat, traveling, loved David Alan Cole and the 70s and 80s Rock and Roll music and was a Longhorns but his true passion in life was his family and the time spent with them, particularly his time taking the boys to the shooting range and spoiling his granddaughter with tutus and shiny cowgirl boots. He was a cherished husband, devoted father and grandfather, treasured brother and friend to many who will be deeply missed by all who were blessed with his friendship.
