Darla Jean Moore-Sloan

Darla Jean Moore-Sloan left her earthly home and made the journey to her heavenly home on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Longview, Texas with her family by her side. She was born December 1, 1958 in Robert Lee, Texas to Annie Maurice Ford "Mawsie" Moore and James Eldon "Corky" Moore.

She enjoyed gardening, her banana plants, and grilling on her old smoky. She also had aspirations of going surfing some day.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Herchel Lee Sloan; Son-in-law, Earl “Matt” Masters Griffin Jr.; and Niece Lindsey Leigh Moore.

She is survive by her sister, Laura Wise; daughters, Alisha Griffin; and Delaney Sloan; nephew, Ronald Wise Jr.; grandchildren, Ethan Hayden; and MaKenna Griffin;
and a special grandchild to be born in March of 2023. Great nephews and great nieces

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Texas Funeral Home located at 6522 McCann Road, Longview, Texas.
