Douglas Earl Wilbur, Jr., 57, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday April 18, 2024.
Doug was born April 19, 1966, in Marrero, Louisiana, but lived his entire life in Longview, Texas. Before Doug became disabled, he worked as a welder for several different companies. He also enjoyed making and building projects for his friends and family. Doug was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M fan. He never missed watching a game. Doug loved being outdoors. His favorite outdoor activities included hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Doug loved spending as much time with his family as he could.
He is proceeded in death by his dad, Douglas Earl Wilbur, Sr. Doug leaves behind his precious mother, Betty Wilbur, his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Jennifer Wilbur, his six children and seven grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Tony Francis, Aubrey and Luke, daughter and son-in-law Autumn and Josh Gimble, Jackson, Kennedy, Silas, and River, daughter and son-in-law Kelli and Veon Johnson, Kaylin and Nora, Sons Michael Wilbur and Joshau Wilbur, and daughter Tessa Pruitt, his three nieces, Chelsie Springer, Erika Vaughn and Brooke Wilbur, and his nephew, Cody Wilbur.
