In loving memory of Eric J. Popplewell

Eric J. Popplewell was born August 12, 1978, in Houston, Texas to Elijah and Beulah Kay (Blevins) Popplewell. He married his wife, Brandy Dolley on August 25th, 2000, and their daughter Angelica was born July 29th, 2001. He passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021, in Longview, Texas - the same day of his 21st wedding anniversary, with his wife beside him, holding his hand. 

Eric was a truck driver for Brady Trucking in Marshall, Texas and was a Navy Veteran. He made many friends over the years who supported him in his personal and professional life. Since he was young his favorite past-time was fishing, whether it was the pond behind his childhood home, at Lake of the Pines, or his favorite spot, the Gulf in Galveston. He also loved working on cars, shooting his guns, and had a passion for cooking. 

Eric is survived by his wife Brandy Popplewell; daughter Angelica Popplewell;  mother and step-father Kay and Danny Cole;  father Elijah Popplewell; sister Holly Singleton;  brother and sister-in-law Ezekiel and Devon Popplewell; niece Kaytlin; nephews Cordale and Esham;  father-in-law and mother in-law Alan and Rose Dolley; brothers-in-law Timm, Zack, Jeremy, Joshua, Justin, Karl, Tubal;  sisters-in-law Lauren, Christy, Patricia, Lindsey; grandparents James and Emma Sykes, David and Linda Stringfellow, Ruby Dolley, and many other family members and friends.

Eric requested that there not be a memorial service.
