Glen Camron Obituary

Glen Alan Camron, age 61, of Longview, Texas entered his heavenly home February 1,2021. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 27,1959 to Clarence and Leta Camron.

Glen moved around a lot being in a military family. They settled in East Texas in 1973. He graduated from Gilmer high school in 1978. He joined East Mountain Baptist Church in 1974 thru baptism. He served the church as his faith in God grew and matured. He made a family our of EMBC even though he could not attend regularly. He supported his family by being a cross country truck driver for 31 years.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Leta Camron, sister, and an uncle. Glen is survived by wife of 37 years Cherie Camron of Longview, Tx. Daughters and grandchildren Sierra, Aiden and Savannah Camron of Breaux Bridge, LA, Moriah, John III, and Madison Ryan of Union Grove, Tx. Brother and sister-in-law Greg and Mae Camron of Arizona, Aunt and Uncle Linda and Jim baker of Lillian, AL and Aunt and Uncle Pat and Cherryl Camron of Tyler, Tx. Three cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glen was like no other. He had a natural ability to make everyone feel safe and secure, even in the darkest of times. His sense of humor was like no other, laugh that was contagious. He had a servant’s heart. He would always help those in need when he could or when asked. He had a good ear to listen and not pass judgment on any one while they were venting. When at church you could find him at times in the nursery rocking the babies and reading stories to the older ones, they called him Mr.Glen.

A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday February 7,2021 at 2:00pm at East Mountain Baptist Church. Located at 315 E Mountain Road Gilmer, TX 75645.
