Glen Todd Obituary
Glen David Todd passed on Friday, November 22. 2024 after a lengthy battle with Dementia.
He was only 69 years old.
Glen was born the oldest of three children to Herbert and Grace West Todd on July 1, 1955. He lived in Longview all his life. He was well known in the East Texas area. He graduated from Longview High School in 1973 and attended Kilgore Junior College. He continued his education in numerous sales and mechanic schools.
After graduation from Longview High School, he went to work with his parents at Todd TV and Appliance for many years. Later he changed careers and retired as a mechanic from Plano Marine.
In 1985 Glen and Gayle welcomed their first child Travis Glen Todd and two years later they were blessed with their second child, Tracy Lynn Todd. In 2016, Glen became a grandfather to Kevin "Kamden" Wilkins and was so proud to be called Paw Paw. Glen worked hard to make sure they were taken care of and felt loved everyday.
Glen volunteered for 11 years operating the East Texas BMX Raceway. He enjoyed supporting his son Travis and drove him all over the country to watch him race. He also supported his daughter Tracy in Cheerleading and Dance. Most of all he loved being with his children and puppies.
Glen's hobbies were scuba diving, skiing, boating, and fishing. Anything that had to do with the water. He loved going on cruises and drinking beer.
Glen is survived by his wife Gayle Todd of 49 years, a sister Jill Todd Evans, and brother Jimmy Todd.
The family wishes to have a private ceremony with family and close friends. Cremation will be arranged by East Texas Funeral Home. The family would like to thank all the aids, nurses, caregivers, and friends that have helped get through this difficult time.
