Gretta Joy Andrews, a cherished soul renowned for her nurturing spirit and love for the natural world, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 30, 1949, Gretta's life was characterized by a profound dedication to her family, her passions, and the simple joys of life.
Gretta's hands were rarely still, as she found immense joy in the art of gardening, which allowed her to cultivate not just plants but also joy and beauty for everyone around her. Her artistic talents extended into her kitchen and onto her canvas, where she cooked up not only delectable meals but also beautiful paintings that reflected her love for life. Gretta's home was a vibrant hub of warmth, creativity, and care, largely due to her ceaseless efforts as a caregiver-a role she embraced for her entire family.
Her strength and resilience shone brightly, qualities that made her not just a beloved family member but also the cornerstone of her family. Whether it was through her selfless acts of kindness or her enjoyable fishing trips, Gretta's love for nature and animals always brought her and her loved ones together in the most meaningful of ways.
Gretta was the foundation upon which her family stood, a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and aunt whose legacy of love and care will undoubtedly live on through those she touched.
She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her, especially her family. She is survived by Larry Moore, Simone Bernadette Manley, Rachel Yvette Stout, Susan Cher Johnson. She was preceded in death by Francis Lee Moore, June Marie Moore, Francis Kelly, Marie Wagstaff, Cathy Jones, Pat Moore, Ricard Moore, Pamela Dittrich, Michele Lee Harmer.
Gretta Joy Andrews will be remembered not only for her resilience and selflessness but also for the profound joy and beauty she brought into the world, mirroring the gardens she so lovingly tended. Her legacy will continue to inspire and nurture, much like the blooms of her beloved plants season after season.
