On June 14th, 2025, Harold Dean Stewart, Jr., affectionately known as Dean went, to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family.
Dean lived every moment to the fullest. He especially enjoyed golfing with friends, watching his nephews play football, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoying good food. He was known for his kindness, his radiant smile, and his unwavering desire to help others. Dean’s life was a living testimony to the transformative power of faith in Christ- proof that with God, struggles become victories. His spirit will live on in all of us and we will continue to share his story as God intended.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents Harold Stewart and Ruby Stewart, brother Willam Dean Stewart, sister Cherri Ann Cross, and sister Donna Sue Courtney.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Stewart; daughter Brittany McDaniels (Dillon Liles); son Nathan Bradley( Jana Bradley); granddaughters Chandler McDaniels and Cheyenne Bradley; sisters Sandra Stewart, Shirley Works (Tim), and Mary Strange (Henry).
Dean is also survived by his stepchildren Morgan Green (Matt), Jordan Bishop, Landon Pomplun and eight bonus grandchildren Kason, Kayden, Korbin, Keelan, Emma, Jack, Rayna, and Carter; and many nieces and nephews and cherished friends who will miss him deeply.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Khan at Texas Oncology, Prime Care Hospice, and special friend Carolyn Bradley Spier for the compassionate care Dean received throughout his battle with cancer.
Join us for a casual get-together at one of Dean’s favorite places- a peaceful haven lovingly created by his dear sister Donna and her husband Karlos Courtney, a place we like to call “ The Happiest Place on Earth.”
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633.
