JD Beard

Jerald DeWayne "JD" Beard was born on September 28, 1995, in Longview, Texas to Alisa Ann Fail Beard and Robert Dewayne Beard. JD passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Longview, Texas with his family at his side.
JD was a kid at heart and had a kind soul. He enjoyed fishing, camping and most importantly spending time with his family. He would do whatever he could to help anyone in need. His smile will be greatly missed, and the memories JD created with everyone will forever be cherished.

JD is survived by mother Alisa Beard, sister Shawn Nguyen and husband, Paul; brother Kevin Mercer and wife Marissa, sister Ferrari Mercer and wife Brittany Morris, fiancé Halie Curlee, grandparents, Ann fail, Linda Orlando, father Robert Beard, uncles Bubba Fail and Brian Stevenson, aunts Ava Jones, Tara Fail and Tenna Stevenson. many nieces and nephews. Mikah, Toshiro, Norriah, Ka'Leyah, Dawson, Raelyn, Princeton, Pryce, Victory, Vivid, Ashley, Malcolm, and special cousins Shaley, Ayden, Patience, Mavis, Malcom, Ross, Hunter, TaCara, Ray, Brittani, Justin. Several cousins; Trevor, Matthew, Zoey, Natalie and Addison. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers Lynn Fail and Robert Beard.


Visitation for JD will be held at East Texas Funeral Home from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, September 23, 2021. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
