Jack "Rich" Prickitt Obituary

Jack Richard “Rich” Prickitt, 83 of Longview, Texas, entered into the arms of Jesus on December 22nd, 2025.  He was born August 18, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Rich was a 1960 graduate of Penn Charter School where he lettered in golf and wrestling, and sung in the school chorus and choirs. He went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1966 with a degree in Business Administration, and proudly served as captain of the Penn State Golf Team his senior year.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” Prickitt and Isabell Ott Prickitt.  He is survived by his brothers, Ronald Prickitt of Florida and Jeff Prickitt of Pennsylvania, as well as many dear friends who became his chosen family.  He was deeply loved by Kevin and Terri Smith and their family - who welcomed Rich as part of their family many years ago.

Throughout his life, Rich worked in a variety of fields, including real estate, finance, corrections, and trucking.  An accomplished athlete, he founded Bodybuilding Ministries, using fitness as a platform to share his faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Despite experiencing hardship in his life, Rich remained steadfast in his faith. He was a longtime Salvation Army bell ringer during the Christmas season, and was featured by KLTV in 2015.

Rich was in regular attendance at Jesus Burger on Saturdays, and attended Grace Creek Church in Longview.
