Jane Hamor Obituary

Jane Emily Lichty Thomas Hamor peacefully passed away at her son Donnie Thomas Jr.’s home January 25th, 2020 in Kilgore TX, at the age of 72. When diagnosed with cancer in 2019, Jane remained courageous and optimistic throughout and during her final months.

Jane enjoyed retirement and valued spending quality time with her family and friends. She had a love for shopping, gift-giving, collecting collectables, treasured her knickknacks, graciously cared for her plants, enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, working on her crafts, and had a passion for learning.

Jane was born on April 11, 1947 in San Diego, CA, to father Philip Lichty and mother Rosa Feddersen Lichty, who preceded her. Jane was raised in La Mesa California where she grew up in a loving family home with her parents Philip and Rosa, one sister Barbra Giles, and two brothers Jon and Bud Lichty.

Jane married first Donnie Thomas Sr., second beloved husband Charles Hamor.

Jane leaves behind Husband, Charles Hamor TX; Sister, Barbara Giles TX; Children, Edward Lichty and fiancé April Hargrove (April preceded Jane December 28th, 2019) AL, David and Rhonda Thomas TX, Ross and Dana Thomas FL, Donnie Thomas Jr. TX, and Annetta and Jody Richards OK; Grandchildren, Rance Thomas and fiancé Bobbie Paddie TX, Austin and Lauren Thomas TX, Emily Thomas TX, Patricia Lichty FL, Dominique Thomas FL, Dale Thomas NC, Kendra Workman OK, Cody Hamor OK, Sierra Schultz OK, Christopher Hargrove AL, and Christian Hargrove AL; And Six Great-Grandchildren.

Jane requested to be cremated. A Commemoration of Life for Jane will be held at 2300 Bill Owens Pkwy 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday February 8th 2020 at Summer Brook Apartments Club House. The family would like to thank East Texas Funeral Home, for their compassion and assistance during this time.

Jane will be Lovingly Remembered and Greatly Missed.
