Joe Goldwater Obituary
Joe B. Goldwater was born in Lubbock, Texas November 9, 1948 to parents Johnnie and Marcillee Bowers Goldwater. He departed this life May 27, 2024.
Joe attended Lubbock High School and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. While at Texas Tech, he met and married Nancy Dillard. They had 2 amazing children, Elizabeth and Andrew. The family moved to Jefferson, Texas in 1983 and eventually to Longview.
Joe owned Deck the Walls Custom Framing in the Longview Mall for many years. He then opened Art Forever Custom Picture Framing in Longview. He proudly taught his son, Andrew, the business and retired in 2023.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marion and Mike Goldwater, niece Robin Goldwater, and daughter-in-law Angela Goldwater. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Harrison (Robert Taylor), and Andrew Goldwater. Grandchildren Joshua and Ethan Harrison, and Brianna and Makayla Goldwater. Nancy Bednarcik, sisters-in-law Mary Sue Bird and Mary Sue Goldwater and nephews Wayne and Jason Goldwater.
His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he will be greatly missed.
