John Everett Naylor

John Everett Naylor, 75, passed Friday, October 18, 2024, at Good Shepherd Hospital, in Longview, Texas. He passed peacefully in his sleep
He is survived by his brother; Mike Naylor; his daughters, Mona Neville, Johna Russell, Nicole McCollister; his sons, Jason Lange, and John Felipe Naylor; four grandchildren Jeremy Neville, Emily Sikes, Haley Bonds and Kaden Lange; and 3 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
John was born in Heavener, Oklahoma, and is the son of Everett Naylor and Romana Chism. John grew up in Ore City with his brother and then moved to Longview. He married and divorced Brenda Taylor before moving to Houston then returning to his final home in Longview.
John was an avid fan of Nascar and his Houston Astros, he never missed a race or game. But what he was most passionate about was his family. He was very proud of all his daughters and sons and loved them dearly and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family uplifted his spirits on his final days; talking to his brother and family visits to the hospital kept him happy and gave him strength even on days that were difficult for him. He will be missed by his family but will live on through their memories.
A time of visitation for Mr. Naylor will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
