Johnny Ray Collins, Sr

Johnny Ray Collins Sr. (POP), age 76, of Gilmer, passed away on Saturday, April 03, 2021 peacefully at home with his family at his side. He was born in Checotah, Oklahoma to the late Haywood and Cora Collins on October 06, 1944. He worked as a concrete plant manager throughout his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy of 57 years; Daughter, Jennifer Collins and wife Sally Myers; Sons, Logan Collins and wife Sara, Rex Collins and wife Jackie; Son in law, David Nelson; Sisters, Cora Harris and Martha Hood; Brother Haywood Collins: Granddaughters, Elease Nelson, Jenna Lee Hightower, Aaliyah Deeley and Victoria Urdquidez; Grandsons, Joey Hightower, Andrew Nelson, Robbie Deeley, Johnny Collins, Sean Collins, Peyton Collins and Joshua Collins and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Daughters Johanna Collins and Evelyn Collins-Nelson; Son, Johnny Ray Collins, Jr., Grandson, Joshua D. Hightower; Son in law, Dale Hightower and many brothers and sisters.
