Jonathan Duane Fowler, age 50, of Longview, TX, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, TX. He was born May 13, 1974.
Jonathan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Jonathan was an amazing man who loved to laugh and make others laugh too, even if it was at themselves. He was devoted to his wife and children. On his toughest days, he put his family first, always ensuring his wife and children were taken care of, showing them in a million little ways how loved they were.
In his younger days, Jonathan enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, or just sitting around a fire. He was also a gifted shade tree mechanic who enjoyed working on and fixing up old trucks.
Jonathan's proudest accomplishment was his children. He was immensely proud of each of them. Jonathan and Libby raised kind, respectful, and hardworking children-who, like their father, are always willing to help others. He never missed an opportunity to brag about them.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Libby, of Longview, TX; daughters, Bailee Fowler of Independence, MO; Hanna Ray of Maud, TX; sons, Carter Fowler of Longview, TX; Camren Fowler of Tyler, TX; grandson, Memphis Ray of Maud, TX; sister, Jessica Roldan of Texarkana, AR; mother, Freda Power of Texarkana, AR; and a number of other friends and relatives.
Honoring Jonathan's wishes, he will be cremated and returned to his wife. No formal funeral service will be held. A family gathering will held at a later date.
