Joy Ann Mitchell

Joy Ann Lindsay Mitchell completed her life on Earth, on the 20th of August 2023. Her lifelong friend, Sondra Rolater, was by her side as she sailed away.

Joy was born to Percy Lacy Lindsay and Daisy Lee Freeman on May 23, 1935. She was born in Houston, Texas. She graduated with honors from Rice University and taught school following her graduation. She later moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas obtaining her Master's degree in social work. She worked various positions with Texas State Agencies and later for Travis County in city development.

Joy had an active mind and was dedicated to living her highest self. She was an avid student in the Course in Miracles and studied Metaphysics in depth. She thoroughly enjoyed sharing her knowledge with friends. She lived up to her name through her joyful outlook on life.

She is survived by her brother, Harold (Hal) Lindsey, and a host of friends. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
