Julia Willeford Obituary

After a lengthy illness, on September 15, 2021 our dear mother, sister and aunt passed from this earth to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Julia Nell (Bostick) Willeford was born on July 19, 1936 to Clovis Floyd and Reba Voncile (Haggard) Bostick in Lamesa, Texas. When she was five years of age, Clovis took a job on the McCollum Ranch in Andrews County, Texas to farm and cowboy. She started the first grade in the Andrews ISD system and went on to receive her diploma in 1954. During her high school years, Nell participated in many school activities including the all-girls flag football between Junior & Senior classes and was a starter on the volleyball team for two years. She loved being known as one of the “Bostick Girls” as she and her three sisters were called by friends. She married Ernest Humberson in 1954 and had three children from that union. After finishing business school in Odessa, Texas, Nell moved to Longview, Texas in 1967 where she loved living in the east Texas pines. She later moved to Euless, Texas where she enjoyed attending the Euless Baptist Church . After retirement she moved to Andrews to care for her aging parents for eight years. Nell enjoyed being with her mother, daddy and sisters to work on crochet and knitting. After moving back to Andrews, she and former classmates, Alma Grace Fitts and Nancy Helvey spent many hours remembering the fun times going to Andrews High. After her parents death Nell returned to East Texas.
