During her high school years, Nell participated in many school activities including the all-girls flag football between Junior & Senior classes and was a starter on the volleyball team for two years. After finishing business school in Odessa, Texas, Nell moved to Longview, Texas in 1967 where she loved living in the east Texas pines.
