June Meeks Obituary

Our precious mother June Carrolle Vines Meeks, with sadness we announce her passing on August 17, 2021, she was 72 years old. June was surrounded by her loving family and friends when she passed away peacefully into God’s graces at home in White Oak, TX.

She was a warrior and a survivor throughout life. She enjoyed antiquing and visiting garage sales on the weekends. Wal-Mart was her home away from home she would spend hours just looking and would find the littlest quirkiest things to buy. She enjoyed spending time out and about with Jerry her husband which she loved and adored dearly. Their time together was always precious to her. She loved her “Pooches” Lula-Mae (Chihuahua) and Beatrice (Dachshund). She was always planting flowers and plants which she would find more to grow and buy the weirdest pots to put them in (Hence Wal-Mart). She would say the weirdest things out of the blue, but they would make sense later. Her smile was beautiful especially when she got her last “Choppers” as she would state. Her favorite candy was Sour Patch Gummies plain and she made sure we knew only the plain ones.

She is survived by many loving individuals, her Husband Jerry B Meeks, her daughters, Barbara Ann Holthaus, Stephanie Cook, Daphne Henderson, Natalie Wessling and son Carroll Roger Wessling II. Besides her children, June is survived by her mother DewDrop Muse, her brothers Dale Vine and Jimmy Vines, eight grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, extended family and many friends.

Please use our online Tribute Wall to the right of this article for condolences. We will update everyone with that info for an additional tribute page link as soon as it is available. Mrs. Meeks will be buried in Cleveland Memorial Cemetery located in Cleveland, TX and will update everyone on the date once we arrange.
