LaVern Lindenmuth Obituary

Lavern “Vern” James Lindenmuth, 74, passed away peacefully in his home after a year-long battle with cancer on Friday, June 4, 2021, and is now walking with Jesus.

Mr. Lindenmuth was a graduate of Gorham High School in Kansas, and later furthered his education at several colleges during his lifetime. He also proudly served his country with the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam Conflict before his honorable discharge in 1968.

Mr. Lindenmuth always had an adept way with numbers, which served him well working for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service for several years. Prior to that, he had owned and operated Insulation Contractors Company. He was also a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he served as their financial treasurer for many years. In his free time, he was an avid fan of classic cars, and could often be found at shows in neighboring areas and states. Above all, he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed.

Mr. Lindenmuth was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Ivan & Esther Melvina Lindenmuth, and two sisters, Lois Irene & Lola Faye. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen Marie; three children, James Daniel, Angela Michelle, and Christopher James; two granddaughters, Caitlin Michelle & Alexa Grace; three siblings, Shirley Earlene, Peter Ivan, and Darwin Glenn; and numerous nieces & nephews.

A meal will be available for all prior to the 2 pm memorial service on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1300 Judson Road, Longview, Texas with Pastor Dennis Bragdon officiating.
