Linda Lee Jones, 75, of Hallsville, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully in her sleep at her home on July 1, 2020. Linda was born on November 13, 1944 in Eustis, FL to Vina Lee and William D. Garrett. She was in an air force family; therefore, she traveled a lot as a child. She married Ronnie Ray Jones on April 29, 1961. They were happily married for 34 years. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She was a devout Christian and follower of Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Jones leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband Bruce Dane Valentine, children Tammy Bowman-Vines and husband, Billy, of Hallsville, Susan Jones Armstreet, of Diana, and Ronnie Ray Jones Jr. “Bubba”, and wife Tonya, of Chapel Hill. Grandchildren Amanda McClendon-Whitfield (David), Maegan Lee Daniel (David), Stephanie McClendon-Venn (Evan), Monica Ward, Caitlin McClendon-Reeves (Josh), Max Lawley (Rebecca), William “Joey” Jones, John Sartor Jr. (Alex), Ronnie Jones III “LB” (Savannah), and Robert “Bobby” Jones. In addition to 11 great-grandchildren, Linda leaves behind sister-in-law Carol Lewis Jones of Shreveport, LA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and fur babies Maggie and Casey.
Linda is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Ray Jones, special friend John “Charlie” Squire, brother-in-law Robert Jones, brother-in-law Wayne Valentine, and a few special fur babies.
Known by many as “Maw-Maw”, Linda Jones will forever be missed, loved, and never forgotten. Matthew 25:21: “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
