Memorial services for Lyle “Lefty” Vogt, 75, of Longview will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Longview at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Mr. Vogt passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Longview.
Lefty Vogt was born to Marvin and Lucia Vogt on March 6, 1945 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was married to Christine Vogt in Plymouth, WI on August 22, 1964. He worked as an accountant for various freight companies. He is preceded in death by his wife Christine, his parents, and brothers Carl and Dennis Vogt.
Lefty Vogt is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Derrick Robertson; son, Paul Vogt; grandchildren Marah Vogt, Sam Vogt and Zoii Vogt; his brother Butch Vogt and many nephews and nieces.
Lefty Vogt was a member of Longview’s Public Transportation Advisory Committee, a member of the Senior Advisory Committee for Green Street Recreation Center, and an Oil Bowl Leagues bowler. He enjoyed his time with family and friends, loved bowling, playing bingo, playing guitar, going to the boats and attending the horse races. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
