Margaret Ann Johnson passed away on December 5, 2019, in Longview, Texas at her home peacefully in her sleep. Margaret, more lovingly known as Maggie to friends and family, was the tree to the branches that held her family together. She spent most of her time taking care of others. She was a loving, selfless, hard-headed, and an amazing woman. Maggie was born on December 28, 1964, to Allen and Margaret Smith in Dallas, Texas. She married the love of her life, Elbert Lee Johnson, on June 15, 1986, in Longview, Texas.
Margaret was survived by her husband, Elbert Lee Johnson; her children, Chris and Lana Johnson, Michael and Lanell Stewart, Wallace and Amber Smith, Jeff and Samantha Smith, Joe and Alena Smith, Andrew Johnson, Angel Johnson Rowton, Phillip Johnson and Amie Johnson. She was also survived by seven brothers and sisters, 27 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and an unmeasurable number of family and friends. Maggie was preceded in death by her daughter, Meshebia Rene’ Johnson; her parents, Allen and Margaret Smith; brother, Robert Smith and sister, Joyce Smith.
A funeral service for Margaret Ann Johnson, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 13th, 2019 at East Texas Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, December 12th, 2019 in the East Texas Funeral Home.
