Michelle Lynn Dyer, known affectionately as Shelby, passed away in Texarkana, Texas, at the age of 48. Born in California on January 22,1976, to Mickey and Renee' Westmoreland. Her battle with cancer demonstrated her courage in facing life challenges with a smile, and despite her pain, Shelby stayed strong until the very end.
Shelby's life was filled with the love of cherished family. She was a devoted wife to her husband Danny Dyer, a loving mother to her son, Steven Tipton and daughter, ShaLynn Tipton, step-son Wade Dyer, and step-daughter Nancy Ridings. Her role as "Mimi" to her grandchildren, Elaina, Braylynn, Laya, and Asher, was one of her greatest joys! She was an amazing sister and aunt. Her brother Chris and wife Stacie, sister Beth and husband DJ, along with her step-father, Aaron, with many nieces and nephews, will remember Shelby's laughter and warmth. The bond she shared with Dana, her best friend of 40 years is a testament to her loyalty and affection.
Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Mickey and Renee' Westmoreland; her sister, Patricia Westmoreland, and grandparents Phil and Pat Westmoreland.
Beyond her family life, Shelby was an avid enthusiast of the outdoors. In her prime, she enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, and 4-wheeler riding. She also had a creative side, shown in her crafting.
Shelby's legacy is one of love, laughter and the joy of living life to the fullest. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was. As we say goodbye to Shelby, we take comfort in knowing that her love has left a mark on all of our lives.
