Pamela Dawn (Briggs) Muse, affectionately known as Pam, was called home to be with the Lord on March 28,2026 at age 65, at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview, Texas, surrounded by family and friends, due to complications from open heart surgery. Pam was born on December 13, 1960, in Kilgore, Texas. Pam will be remembered for her strength, compassion for others, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence touched many lives, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Pam graduated from South Arkansas College in El Dorado, Arkansas with an associate’s degree in nursing. She was a nurse for 15 years in Arkansas and Texas, with a deep compassion for the elderly.
Pam was the beloved wife of Doug Muse for 33 years, and they cherished many memories together. The two were married on August 15th, 1992.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Delanie Briggs; brothers, Larry Briggs and Mark Briggs; sister, Kay Mundine; daughter, Amber Muse; and sister-in-law, Debby Jones and her husband Ricky Jones.
She is survived by her brother, Eddie Briggs; sister, Debbie Goff and her husband Wavy “Shot”; sister, Kim Briggs; sons, Stephen Utzman, Clinton Muse and wife Trista, and Cody Muse and his wife Whitney; daughters, Leila Dean and her husband Brandon and Ashley Stewart and her husband Matthew; and brother-in-law Tony Muse and wife Stephanie.
She was a proud grandmother to Ashlyn Muse, Jaxon Dean, Alena Muse, Gunner Muse, and Billie Stewart, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Funeral services will be held at 4608 Elysian Fields Road, Marshall, Texas, on Friday, April 10, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception at 427 Southfield Estates, Marshall, Texas 75672.
