Ralph Tim Lardy Obituary

Ralph Tim Lardy, 78, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, in Longview, Texas.  A Celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Ralph was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Tim Ralph Lardy and Viola Torgerson Lardy on April 7,1947. He was a resident of New London, Texas for the past 33 years.

He married Candice Baker Lardy on December 17, 1968, in Canoga Park, California. He also served in the United States Air Force. He was the Assistant Superintendent of Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois for 22 years before relocating to Texas. Then started with the City of New London where he eventually became the director of public works for 20 years before retiring in 2013.

Ralph had this wonderful passion for woodworking where you would always find him in his shop. He could truly create anything you could imagine.  When the weather was warm and the sun was out, he absolutely cherished spending time on his tractor or just relaxing on the porch.

He was the best husband, dad, papa, brother, and friend anyone could ever have hoped for. He was always there to help his kids and grandkids with anything they needed. He would do anything for anyone. He truly was our HERO and will be deeply missed!

He is preceded in death by his father Tim Lardy, mother Viola King, be-loved stepmother Lois Lardy, brother’s Bruce Lardy and Mike Lardy, sister Jewell Rockwell and Three nephews.

He is survived by his be-loved wife of 57 years Candy “MA” Lardy, daughters Kristina Lardy, Diana Hendrix and husband (Brady), son’s Daniel Lardy (Diane Dadian), Joe Lardy, and Jeff Lardy(Gena Vasquez), Grandchildren Jessica Webb, Bradley Lardy and wife (Chelsey), Kayla Hartwig and husband (Eric), Kelsey Hendrix, Wade Lardy, Korlyn Lardy (Tyler Chrisman), Gavin Bagley, Julia Hendrix (Mitchell Marhofer), Wyatt Lardy, Jovan Williams, Colton Lardy, Carter Lardy and Jaxon Lardy. Twelve great grandchildren. Two sisters Sheryl Shuler and Trish Pascale and One brother Fred Stephens.

Though the list of Ralphs’s beloved friend’s and extended family is too long to include here the impact each of you had on his life was immeasurable.
