Robert Kelly Craig, loving and caring father, husband,brother, grandfather, and friend, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2024. Kelly entered this world on January 4, 1967 to parents, Pete Craig and Mary Beth Liston Craig. Graduating from Marshall High School, Kelly played for the Marshall Maverick soccer team, serving as team captain and making the All-District squad. Upon graduation, he attended Sam Houston State University, graduating with a degree in agribusiness and economics in May, 1989.
Kelly returned to East Texas three years ago having spent the majority of his adult life in Spring, Texas and various other cities and states. Kelly was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beth Liston Goin, two sisters, Connie Elizabeth Craig on November 2, 1971, and Karen Denise Monteagudo on May 6, 2019 and by a niece, Olivia Monteagudo on May 6, 2019.He is survived by his wife, Ronna Mundy Craig, his children, Meghan Elizabeth Craig, of San Antonio and Peyton Levy Craig and wife, Michelle of Houston, grandchildren Henry Craig and Thomas Craig, both of Houston, daughter Savannah and husband Trey Bowden of DeBerry, grandchildren Tuff, Lillie, Tex and Wylder, daughters Tye Jones, of DeBerry and Hallie Jones of Omaha, Nebraska, his father, Pete Craig of Marshall, sister Cindy McGeorge Jones and husband, Jett Jones of Karnack, in addition to aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many extended friends and family members.
Kelly had an infectious sense of humor. A smile was always present and he was a conscientious friend and family member, always checking on everyone regularly.
He is deeply missed by many, and as a child of God, we know that he is now with his sisters and other family members. Per Kelly's wishes, a small private family service will be held.
