Robert Thomas Stringfield

Robert was born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, the son of Dalcho W. Stringfield and Marie Rose Elston. Robert was raised in Buras, graduating from Buras High School in 1971. Robert attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., graduating in 1977. Robert worked at Shell Venice Terminal from 1978 to 1993. Robert worked at Venice for Flores & Ruckes, later Ocean Energy until 2000. Robert married Patricia Ann Meilleur on 22 June 1985 at the Church of Christ in Algiers, La. They initially lived in Belle Chasse, later Harvey, moving to Longview, Texas after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Robert had several jobs after moving to Longview. Robert developed pancreatic cancer in the summer of 2024. Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia, siblings, William Richard Stringfield of Marrero, La., and Susan Yvette Stringfield, of Arabi, La., niece Sallie Elston Stringfield, and great-nephew Garion Stringfield of Spring, Tx. Preceding Robert in death were parents Dalcho Stringfield and Marie Elston, and brother Charles David Stringfield. No service, cremated.
