RONALD WAYNE FAIL OBITUARY

Ronald Wayne Fail, 69, of Gladewater, Texas passed away peacefully worshiping God with his wife on September 1, 2021. Ronny grew up in Talco, Texas and graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1970. He was a resident of Gladewater, Texas for the last 30 years. The majority of his working career was divided as an equipment operator for TU Electric at the Monticello Plant and as a maintenance and grounds keeper for Silver Leaf Resorts at Holly Lake Ranch. He retired from Silver Leaf in 2014 due to a progressing battle with multiple sclerosis. Ronny’s true calling was to pastor. He fulfilled that call by pastoring Solid Rock Christian Fellowship in Big Sandy, Texas for 16 years, from 1999 to 2015. During his tenure as pastor he was a member of the Big Sandy Ministerial Alliance in which he served in multiple capacities, even as president for one term. Ronny was always supportive of other ministers and ministries. Ronny loved God, his family, Dallas Cowboys football, movies and big holiday gatherings. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Ronny had received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a child. As many have done, he strayed as he got older. He then recommitted his life to Christ in the spring of 1986. His commitment was shortly followed by receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This fresh encounter with God produced a fire that would continue to burn his entire life. He started attending the Gilmer Church of God in 1991. It was there that He accepted and started pursuing the call of God on his life in 1992. He began teaching in the local Sunday school and eventually served as the Sunday School Superintendent. He also led song services and was a supportive pulpit minister. He stepped into the fullness of his calling under Apostle B.W. Craig as pastor of Solid Rock Christian Fellowship in Big Sandy, Texas. His heart was to reach people for Christ while strengthening the body of Christ. God had placed in his heart a special love for the church in Big Sandy all the way to the day of his going home.

Ronny is survived by his wife Mary Sue Fail; children Anthony & Juanita Fail, Samantha & David Mayberry, and Aaron Fail; His two brothers Gary & Margaret Fail and Ricky & Connie Fail; His four grandchildren Isaac Fail, Rachel & Bryan Grotheim, Madison Fail, and Naeya Mayberry; and many others including nieces and nephews, some of which considered him a second father. Ronny and Sue always welcomed everyone n their home.

He was preceded in death by his Father Clarence Edward Fail, Mother Lucille Boyd Fail, and sister Geraldine Fail Causey.

Join us in celebrating the life of Ronny Fail at Big Sandy Civic Center on Sunday September 5, 2021 at 3:00PM. Services will be officiated by Apostle B.W. Craig
