Ruth Carolyn Scobey

Ruth Carolyn Scobey, 71 years of age, was born in Prescott Arkansas. Carolyn lost her battle with illness on Nov.17, 2022,  in Longview, Texas, surrounded by family and friends.  She has lived in the Pleasure Point Community in Lone Star, Texas since 1994. She was a retired caregiver and continued to care for her family and friends in her community.  She was  a dedicated pet owner of 1 dog Bubba and 2 cats Travis and Little Bit.  She loved to hunt, fish and spending time with her friends and family.  She was proceeded in death by her husband David Scobey, and 2 ex husbands, Kenny Murphey and Billy Mac Sampson; her parents, Clara Mae Lloyd ,step father W D Lloyd, Richard Crews , stepmother Shirley Crews, 3 brothers, David Gardner ,Wesley Gardner, James Crews and 1 sister Sara Hale.

Carolyn is survived by 3 children, Richard Murphey, Rebecca Sunday McKamie and James and Carolyn Murphey; 2 brothers Bob Crews and Teresa Kevin and  Rebecca Crews. 3 sisters Sandra Downs and Mitch Lynda Adams and Don and Deborah Hawthorne. She had 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren,4 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and Nephews and adopted family.

 Service arrangements will be announced at a later date. Thank you all for loving our mother, she was an amazing Mother, Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend to everyone she met.
