Sara Thompson Obituary
Sara Jane Thompson passed away September 13, 2024 at the age of 87 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
Sara is survived by three children, Sandi and Mike Magee of Sparks, NV, Bob and Tina Wilson of White Oak, TX and Richard and Laura Wilson of Kilgore, TX. She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Sara was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Bob Thompson, and her parents Fred and Miriam Wood.
Sara was born in Massachusetts on November 11, 1937. She graduated Pierce college after which she worked as a mathematician in the aerospace industry before devoting her life to raising her children.
Her passions in life included her devotion to God, her family and knitting/crocheting.
A time of Visitation will be held at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview, Tx on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm. Her funeral service will take place at 11:30am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Help.
