Teddie Callaway Obituary

On December 28, 1950, Teddie Ann Head Cooner Callaway, was born to Annie Mitchell Head Powell & Theodore "Ted" Head in Whitewright, Texas. She was raised by her mother, Annie & stepfather, Percy Powell, all of which preceded her in death.

Teddie Ann was married to Paul Cooner, who preceded her in death, and had four daughters, Victoria Pierce of Alpine, WY, Jennifer Cooner Callaway, who preceded her in death, Becky Cooner of Shelton, WA, and Tracy Cooner of Jefferson, TX. She had four grandchildren, as well as three great grandchildren.

Teddie Ann is survived, also, by her sister, Netta Moody of Jefferson, TX, two brothers, Eldon Smith of Pahrump, NV, and Don Smith of Hallsville, TX, along with numerous nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step grandchildren, & step great grandchildren.
Teddie Ann had an enormous number of friends and multiple "kids" and their families she "adopted" through the years. All of which she saw as her family too.

Teddie Ann married Charlie Callaway of Jefferson, TX, after the death of her first husband, with whom she spent the remainder of her life. They shared a special love and life together. She was able to experience lots of firsts and have many new and exciting adventures.

Teddie Ann was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a ray of sunshine! A stranger was just a friend she hadn't met yet. She had a way of touching the lives of anyone she met, and she will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and, in the ones, she gifted in her passing. She loved and was loved and will be missed beyond words.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Jefferson Christian Academy, Brea, TX, where she was an alumnus.

The celebration of her life services will be held on April 16th, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Jefferson Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3000 FM 728 Brea, Texas.
