In Loving Memory of Timothy "Timmy" Gordon Lacy
The Lacy and Baggett families announce the passing of Timothy "Timmy" Gordon Lacy, age 46. Timmy passed away peacefully at home on March 2nd, 2025, after courageously battling cancer for two years, with his beloved Toy Aussie, Jermi, and his devoted caretaker, Leigh Baggett, by his side.
Timmy was born on April 23rd, 1978, in Gladewater, Texas. He attended school in Gladewater and Cabot, Arkansas, and later graduated from floor tech school in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Timmy's greatest passion was his family and friends, always offering to lend a hand wherever he could. If you knew Timmy, you knew his unique love for pallets and scrap. Every day, he made his rounds collecting pallets for extra cash, a task that brought him joy and purpose. He had a remarkable talent-he could spot a pallet from a mile away and instantly know its type and value.
Timmy was preceded in death by his mother, Alisa Lacy, father, Earl Lacy, and Bill "Daddy Bill" Simmons.
He is survived by his sister Axie Kitchens and husband Allen, sister Alisha Hollis and husband Kendric, brother Chanse Lacy and wife Preslye, sister Katherine Simmons, brother Bill "Little Bill" Simmons and wife Heather, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime caretakers and dear friends Michael and Leigh Baggett, his loyal canine companion, Jermi, and Beverly "Momma Bev" Simmons, who loved him dearly. Timmy leaves behind lifelong friends Donald Gilkey, Robert Gilkey, and Michael Allen who shared many cherished memories with him.
Timmy was a simple man who lived life his own way, enjoying the company of others and making friends wherever he went. He loved to visit with people and had a knack for knowing everyone's business-rest assured, your secrets are forever safe with Timmy.
A memorial service will be held at "The Bar" in Gladewater on a date to be announced. All are welcome to join us in honoring Timmy's life and memory.
"To know Timmy was to love him, and to love him was to understand the beauty in simplicity. Rest easy, Timmy. You'll forever be in our hearts."
