Tommy Arthur McKnight passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the age of 79. Tommy was born in Longview, February 11, 1944, to the late Samuel Arthur and Martha Loraine (Sue) McKnight. Tommy was a easy-going character with an infectious smile, and was loved by many. He enjoyed boating, golf, spending time with friends, family, and his fraternity brothers. Tommy attended Sabine Schools, Stephen F. Austin University and UT Tyler. Tommy retired as a project manager from Continental Can Company and C.D. Thomas Plumbing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Samuel McKnight of Kilgore, daughter, Laci and husband John Hollrah of Hallsville; his brother, Harry McKnight; cousins, Linda and husband Jim Harkness, Betty and husband Gary Johnston, Glenn and wife Lea Stifflemire, Terry and wife Sharon Stifflemire, Febra Pope; his former wife Bobbie McKnight; nephews, Adam and wife Nicole McKnight, Grant and wife Valerie McKnight; grandchildren, Kortney and Husband Caleb Henry, John and Charlotte Hollrah; and great-grandchildren Troy Henry and Payzlee Henry.
Under the direction of East Texas Funeral Home, Committal Services will be10:00 AM, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum; located at 5000 W Harrison Rd, Longview, TX 75604. Friends and family welcome.
