Vikki Lynn Marshall, 81, of Tatum, Texas was born May 14, 1938 in East Mountain, Texas and passed away peacefully on January 23, 2020. Named Judith Carolyn Taylor at birth, she moved to California after high school to pursue her music career. After retirement, Vikki and her husband David moved back to East Texas to be close to family and friends. Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her grandparents Sam and Agatha Gounah, parents Lucille Parker and Harold Taylor, husband David Marshall, daughter Kayraen Kaye Reeks, granddaughter Christina Marie Morris, and brother Sammy Simms.
She is survived by her daughter Anna Morris, six grandchildren Jaysen Dry, Marie Calhoun, Chris Reeks, Robyn Reeks, Sarah Estes, and Jake Morris, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, brothers Sherwood Simms and Mark Parker, sister Debbyie Brock, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Vikki Lynn will live on in our hearts and memories. She was an extraordinary, unforgettable woman who lived an unconventional life fueled by her independent spirit and passion for life and love.Cremation arrangements were made with East Texas Funeral Home. Per her wishes, there will be no memorial service, and her and David’s remains will be dispersed in California where they began their lives together.
