Walter Edward Bullard (71) went to dance on the streets of heaven on March 31, 2025.
He was born November 15,1953 in Oswego, New York to Eulah Edward Bullard and Arline Rachael Butt. Walter lived a young rambunctious life in Oswego, NY with his eleven siblings Mary, Janet, John, Marilyn, Bonnie, Rachel, Patricia, Daniel, Robert, Roy, and Edith. Along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends. Above all, Walter's life was defined by sharing his joy in Christ.
Walter exhibited a thirst for knowledge and modeled the wonder of knowing. He graduated from Mexico Academy and Central School in New York, January 1973. He graduated from DeVry University, top of his class in Electronics earning his Journeyman Industrial Electrician License. He then went on to becoming an ordained minister. A lifelong learner, he perpetually acquired new skills and perspectives to make his professional teams more effective. Suffice to say his nose was in a book- on just about any subject.
He was highly active throughout his entire life. Walter loved dancing, skating, he was always the one behind the camera. He was also passionate about traveling around the world with his wife Joyce, The Shakespeare Festival, listening to the Celtic Choir, and was a faithful member of The Way International Biblical Research Ministry.
Walter loved music, reading, playing Tetris, and being a handyman by whomever needed him. Walter was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences: mechanic, electrician, contractor, minister- he could fix or build anything.
Walter is survived by his wife Joyce Ravellette-Young Bullard and her five children Kendall, Kelley, Kerry, Karen, and Karl Ravellette. An abundance of grand children and great grandchildren of Longview, Tx. Brothers John, Daniel and Roy Bullard of Oswego, New York. Sisters; Mary, Janet, Marilyn, Bonnie, Rachel, Patricia, and Edith of Oswego, New York. Walter was proceeded in death by his parents Eulah and Arline Bullard and brother Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Walter on April 7 at 2:00pm by East Texas Funeral Homes in Longview, Texas. As Walter prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, the family asks that you do the same-go out and do something that brings you real joy and share it with those around you.
